Little Sri Lankan dog is laying on the dusty floor.
Who could ask for more
than a dirt floor?
You don’t need a broom when you have a dirt floor.
Who could ask for more?
Looking up at the moon there’s nothing I can do,
I still think of you.
If you were here we’d lay together on the dusty floor.
Who could ask for more?
Little Sri Lankan dog will follow you wherever you go,
She’s so faithful.
Little Sri Lankan dog will follow you into the lagoon,
there’s nothing you can do.
Even if I never see you ever again
I’ll still be glad we were friends.
When I get home we’ll lay together on the dusty floor
Who could ask for more
than a dirt floor?
Little Sri Lankan dog has dusty fur
from laying on the dusty floor.
Who could ask for more
than a dirt floor?
Pineapple Lizard Throat Chakralization mural by Simon Blackfoot, Rah Akaishi, and myself in Colombo, Sri Lanka for Pangea Seed’s Murals for Oceans project. Manta rays are killed here for their throat filters which are used in traditional Chinese medicine. The throat chakra is associated with creativity and freedom of self expression. Save the rays!
I painted a pineapple lizard because I had a dream where this guy accidentally pressed the wrong button on this yellow tape measure and it snapped back in his mouth (he was trying to measure out space to sleep to rent from this lady for a night) and he turned into this animal that was blue and green, like half lizard, with a pineapple head and it/he started running around frantically on the ground.
Video by Rah Akaishi documenting our Cosmic Carrot mural!
Drawing I’ve been carrying around and working on since I’ve been in Sri Lanka. Pen and pencil, fragments of life.
☀Na☉mi’s B☉yfriend☾ Painting completed in one night by Simon Blackfoot, Rah Akaishi, and myself at Electric Peacock Festival in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
I put bindis all over Shamalee’s face, Naomi took a picture, and I threw on some glitter and drew some plants on it.
